Suncorp general counsel takes CTP exec role
Suncorp Group general counsel Michelle Bain has become compulsory third-party insurance and advocacy EGM.
A company spokesman says this is a newly created role within the business.
Ms Bain started this month after about two years as group general counsel, according to her LinkedIn.
“One of the things I will be advocating for in my new role is safer roads and safer driving behaviours,” she said. “I have been getting around meeting the team and the thing that has already struck me is how driven our people are to help people at a time they need us most – after being injured in a motor vehicle crash.”
Ms Bain’s appointment follows leadership changes made in August after the insurer closed its $4.9 billion bank sale to ANZ.
As part of these changes, group executive for completion and transition Belinda Speirs will take the newly created role of chief executive of people, legal and corporate services, based in Brisbane.
Ms Speirs started her new role this month.
