Suncorp expands support for vulnerable customers

Suncorp has strengthened its support programs for vulnerable customers, offering Uniting’s CareRing referral service to all customers in need.

The insurer says its dedicated Support Hubs specialist teams, established last year, have worked with about 230 customers every month during the COVID-19 pandemic. The hubs triage customers in need and provide flexible, tailored, end-to-end case management.

The Uniting partnership will see Suncorp customers benefit from a three-part support service: a dedicated case manager for those needing long-term assistance, referral pathways to community and health services and financial assistance for specialist requests.

“We have been working with Uniting for a number of years now and have seen first-hand the difference their CareRing services can make in the lives of our customers,” Suncorp Customer Advocate Michelle Bain said.

“This expansion allows all our specialist teams to lean on Uniting’s expertise and capabilities to ensure our customers are accessing the right support services.”
