Suncorp appoints new director
Suncorp Group has appointed Audette Exel as a non-executive director.
Ms Exel has considerable experience in insurance, financial services and the not-for-profit sector. She is a founder of boutique financial services provider ISIS Group and is CEO of its Australian operation ISIS Asia Pacific.
ISIS funds a not-for-profit foundation that provides health and education services in the developing world.
Ms Exel is also VP of the board of Steamships Mutual Underwriting Association Trustees (Bermuda), which provides marine insurance. She has served as MD of Bermuda Commercial Bank, Chairman of the Bermuda Stock Exchange and as a board member of Bermuda’s financial services regulator.
Suncorp Chairman Ziggy Switkowski says he looks forward to Ms Exel “contributing towards Suncorp’s continuing strategic progress”.
In recent months former Queensland Investment Corporation CEO Doug McTaggart and financial services veteran Michael Cameron have joined Suncorp’s board while Paula Dwyer left to go to ANZ.
