Claims service provider Stream Group has invested in Melbourne Technology Group, which operates as National Insurance Replacement Services (NIRS).

Stream Group is now a “significant shareholder” and MD Don McKenzie says the partnership will “expand the expertise of both companies allowing each to enhance the services offered to our respective clients”.

NIRS provides contents validation and fulfilment services for insurers and claims handlers.

Melbourne Technology Group director Geoff Daniel says the investment will bring more services, enhanced validation and better pricing.

“We are also excited with the opportunity to expand into New Zealand and the UK on the back of Stream’s existing infrastructure,” he said.
