Steadfast splits technology role
Steadfast has split its technology operation into units to cater for the company’s separate underwriting agency and broker divisions.
MD and CEO Robert Kelly told insuranceNEWS.com.au the technology division has grown in size along with Steadfast itself, and it makes sense to reorganise it to cater for the differing needs of the agencies and network brokers.
Lisa Woodley is now EGM Broker Technology Services, which covers all internal IT and any broker technology at Steadfast. Ms Woodley is a former EM market management at Suncorp, and also consulted on e-business strategies at Zurich.
She was a member of the Telstra eBusiness Services management team that built the original Sunrise Exchange platform.
Niels Laaper, who was previously CEO Steadfast Technology, has become EGM Underwriting Agency Technology Services. He will also run the company’s relationship with the Ebix-owned Sunrise Exchange platform that Steadfast inherited when it acquired Calliden last year.
Vibul Imtarnasan is EGM Technology Solutions, in charge of the Steadfast Virtual Underwriter (SVU) and underwriting agency solutions. He has worked with Steadfast for nearly six years, having first moved into consultancy in 2005 from Telstra eBusiness Services, where he was GM technology solutions.
The three EGMs will report to a separate board.
