Stardex soars on fly buy
Leading insurance underwriting agency Stardex is flying high with its purchase of Brisbane business General & Aviation Underwriting (G&A). That company is a local agent for Australian International Group Aviation UK, which offers aviation hull and aerospace liability insurance.
Stardex CEO Bob Lee says the acquisition is in line with a strategy of steady expansion. The move expands Stardex’s specialist product range and offers positive results for both companies.
“G&A is a profitable company with a solid reputation and a well-established team that demonstrates a high level of expertise in underwriting and claims management for the aviation-aerospace market,” he said. “This acquisition capitalises on Stardex’s cornerstones of innovation, diversification and interdependence.”
Neither company has disclosed the price of the transaction.
