SRS Underwriting Agency has extended its Australian presence beyond Melbourne and Brisbane, opening offices in Sydney.

The Sydney offices were officially opened last week by Shadow Foreign Affairs and International Security Minister Kevin Rudd.

SRS is the largest Lloyd’s of London underwriting agency in Australia, despite not having a physical office presence in Sydney until now. MD Paul Lynam (pictured) says the new offices bring an expectation of increased business.

“A lot of businesses didn’t deal with us because we lacked a local presence,” he said.

While SRS writes eight separate classes of business on behalf of Lloyd’s Mr Lynam says there are still other markets and opportunities in other classes for the company.
