Sportscover on Irish Paddy wagon
Specialist sports insurer Sportscover has strengthened its international ambitions by setting up a base in Ireland.
Sportscover will market a range of lines including personal accident, public liability, professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’, property, and contingency insurance for Irish sporting clubs and associations through local broker O’Driscoll O’Neil.
The move is the latest overseas endeavour for the company, following recent incursions into the European, Scandinavian and Iberian markets.
“We are delighted to be in Ireland and teaming up with a sports specialist similar to ourselves, in O’Driscoll O’Neil,” Director Chris Nash said.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Sportscover and we see the Irish market as an important phase of our worldwide development.”
O’Driscoll O’Neil MD Niall O’Driscoll said the arrangement would bring a wealth of knowledge to the Irish sports insurance market.
