Sports Underwriting chief steps down
Sports Underwriting MD and founder Steve Gilbert has stepped down and handed the reins to Warren Mills, who has been with the business eight years.
Mr Gilbert founded Sports Underwriting in 2006 and is leaving the role as part of a planned equity sell-down and management succession.
The Melbourne-based business provides cover for clubs, groups and associations, plus sport and leisure-related businesses and licensed clubs.
It is part of Steadfast Underwriting Agencies and its products are underwritten by AIG.
Mr Mills was previously Sports Underwriting GM and has more than 15 years’ sports insurance experience. He has taken equity in the business as part of the succession.
