Brisbane-based underwriting agency ShieldCover says its general and products liability offerings will now be available to professionals in the motor trades industry.

“We noticed a distinct lack of competition in the market for motor trades, and so we want to offer our brokers and their clients an alternative solution,” Underwriting Manager Suzie O’Hagan said.

“We already have so much expertise in the blue collar space so it just made sense for us to develop this specific liability offering.”

The agency says automotive businesses such as auto dismantlers, boat dealerships, car/auto detailers, mechanics and panel beaters can now benefit from ShieldCover’s creative liability solutions provided by a team of experienced underwriters.

ShieldCover is a division of East West Insurance Brokers and specialises in blue collar, hospitality, property owners and small retailers.

The agency was previously known as Ryno Underwriting but rebranded last October as ShieldCover as part of a business growth strategy.
