Brisbane-based underwriting agency ShieldCover has introduced liability and personal accident and sickness cover options for manufacturing occupations. 

The expanded offer includes manufacturing cover within metal, timber, glass, textile, consumable areas, and more. 

Underwriting Manager Rebecca Gottstein says manufacturing is a growing space in Australia and ShieldCover now offers a flexible solution for SME manufacturing operators.  

“We want to provide an option to our brokers who have clients that don’t quite fit the restricted package criteria, but also give an option that will allow the operator to grow,” she said. 

ShieldCover says brokers can now submit a “hassle-free” quote request for manufacturing via the agency’s online quoting system.  

A division of East West Insurance Brokers, ShieldCover specialises in blue collar, hospitality, property owners and small retailers. The agency was previously known as Ryno Underwriting but rebranded in late 2020.
