Dawes Underwriting Australia has bought the rights to the Ryno Insurance motor portfolio.

Ryno will continue to arrange insurance for clients who come to the firm, but policies in future will be provided by Dawes or another motor insurance company.

Dawes Motor Insurance has operated since 1987 and specialises in prestige, exotic, specialist vehicles and motorcycles. The agency was acquired by Steadfast in the 2014/2015 financial year and its policies are underwritten by Allianz Australia.

Ryno, which has issued automotive policies backed by Lloyd’s, will manage endorsements and cancellations for existing motor clients until policy expiry dates.

The firm will continue to offer its Lloyd’s underwritten liability, property and accident & sickness products to its broker network.
