Specialist agriculture underwriting agency Rural Affinity’s products will be underwritten by Talbot Underwriting Australia, which operates in the Lloyd’s insurance market, from October 8.

Rural Affinity has had an underwriting arrangement with Munich Re since 2006.

“We are excited about our partnership with Talbot and becoming a coverholder at Lloyd’s,” MD James Hooper said. “After 11 years of great support from the Munich Re group we have established a strong platform for the next phase of our business, and Talbot Validus Group, with its global crop expertise, is the ideal partner.”

Talbot operates within the Lloyd’s market through Syndicate 1183 and a subsidiary of Bermuda holding company Validus Group.
