New Zealand’s Rothbury Insurance Brokers has promoted David Walton to the newly created role of EGM Agencies and Chief Counsel.

MD Roger Abel says the appointment will strengthen the business and drive growth across underwriting agencies.

Mr Walton joined Rothbury in 2014 in a legal role that expanded to include leadership of the company’s underwriting agencies.

His new executive role includes added responsibilities as GM of Employee Benefits and GM of Risk and Compliance, while continuing to lead Rothbury’s legal function and agencies.
