It’s official – Robertson & Company in Australia has been absorbed into international firm Crawford & Company, creating one of the largest independent loss adjustment and claims administration service providers in Australia.

Robco MD Laurie Bevan is now CEO of the newly formed Crawford & Company (Australia) Pty Ltd, with Andrew Bart as his deputy.

Jeffrey T Bowman, President of Crawford’s international operations, said from Atlanta, Georgia, that the intent to acquire Robertson was originally announced earlier this year and was a strategic move to increase Crawford’s penetration into the Australian market.

The combined group will offer four operating divisions: Crawford Claims, Crawford Health Care Management, Crawford Liability and Crawford Technical Services.

Robertson & Co was founded in 1991 and was one of the largest employee-owned, independent loss adjusting companies in Australia.
