Resilium gives ARs portfolio ownership

Authorised representatives (ARs) with the Suncorp-owned Resilium network can now own their portfolios.

The move is one in a series of major initiatives intended to grow and improve the network as it aims to become the largest in Australia.

MD Adrian Kitchin says that by owning their portfolios, ARs can unlock value through acquisition, succession planning or growth.

And a partnership with Macquarie Bank allows ARs to access immediate funding on their entire business.

Mr Kitchin says the initiatives signal Resilium’s intention to become Australia’s leading AR network.

“There is no doubt our value proposition for ARs is now unique in the industry,” he said.

“Growth in a low-growth environment is always a challenge. Suncorp’s focus on creating value for customers allows Resilium ARs to provide insurance solutions to customers that previously may have had unmet needs.”

Mr Kitchin says such customers have come from Suncorp Business Bank, plus the GIO and AAMI contact centres.

Resilium will continue to invest in AR-focused marketing programs, with marketing coaches ensuring plans are developed and executed to drive growth.

Mr Kitchin has also revealed a “ground-breaking” educational partnership with Deakin University to train ARs to become “not only highly trained technical insurance experts, but also skilled business owners”.

Course modules will include developing budgeting and forecasting skills, plus human resources capabilities such as incentivising staff, hiring and handling conflict.
