QBE stalwart Duncan Ramsay has resigned as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary after 21 years with the insurer.

He will be replaced by Woolworths executive Peter Horton from June 9. (See previous story)

Peter Smiles will remain as Deputy Company Secretary, and will be acting Company Secretary until Mr Horton takes over.

Mr Ramsay joined QBE as general counsel in 1993 and became company secretary in 2001.
