RACQ Insurance is to underwrite pet cover for RAC WA, crossing state borders for the first time in its 112-year history.

CEO John Myler has hailed the “significant milestone”, which will make the industry-leading pet product available to more consumers.

“As a mutual organisation, any profits we make from this product will be reinvested in our members and the Queensland community,” he said.

“All underwriting and pricing work will be done right here in our state, as will all claims management, which means more jobs for Queenslanders.”

RACQ Insurance has offered pet cover since October 2015.
