QBE won the prestigious Services Exporter of the Year award at the recent 40th Australian Export Awards gala in Sydney. Now counted among the top 20 global insurance carriers, QBE is Australia’s largest general insurance and reinsurance group. It actually derives most of its income from overseas business and operates in 39 countries.

Making the award, Trade Minister Mark Vaile said QBE has demonstrated its capability and leading position with record results in 2002 and a more recent announcement of a record result for the first six months of 2003.
