QBE set to shortlist building consultants, engineers for new panel

QBE is calling on building consultants and engineers to register interest in providing their services across the insurer’s personal and commercial lines.

A pre-qualification questionnaire can be completed here until early May. Suppliers will then be shortlisted for a new vendor panel, which is expected to be in place by August.

The process will identify high-quality, cost-effective service providers for private and commercial properties, and examine their capacity to support QBE’s distribution partners across all areas of Australia. It follows similar arrangements for the provision of building repair and restoration services as part of QBE’s ongoing strategic review of its property and motor claims divisions.

Chief Claims Officer Jon Fox says QBE is seeking out strategic partnerships with businesses that can best serve customers during key times of need and is cultivating a network of service partners to “exceed their expectations”.

“The claims experience is a critical touchpoint for our customers,” Mr Fox said. “Evolving customer expectations mean that increased quality of insurance services is more highly desired than ever.”
