QBE will continue its year-long celebrations for 125 years of operation tomorrow at its AGM, where the milestone logo will make another appearance after first being unveiled by QBE Group CEO Frank O’Halloran during his annual results presentation in February.

The company traces its origins back to the Queensland Insurance, Bankers & Traders, which merged with Equitable Trust in 1973.

Since its foundation in 1886, QBE has grown to become one of the 25 largest global insurance and reinsurance companies with more than 14,000 employees in 49 countries.

EGM Intermediary Distribution Colin Fagen says the milestone will be celebrated in QBE offices around the world.

“QBE’s 125th year provides us with the opportunity to make success tangible through various initiatives and events being rolled out throughout the entire year,” he said.

“This is an incredible milestone and one we are extremely proud of, particularly when you reflect on our ability to continue growing through times of extreme adversity and be resilient with the support of our long-term partners.”
