QBE has announced Bill Donovan will replace Ross Chapman as GM New Zealand from February 29.

Mr Chapman announced last year that he will retire in April.

Mr Donovan has served as GM Distribution New Zealand for more than four years.

Before joining QBE he was at Willis for six years, first as MD New Zealand and then as CEO Australasia.

QBE EGM Intermediary Distribution Jason Clarke says he is glad the role has been filled internally.

“We’re very lucky to have someone of Bill’s calibre, with such a thorough knowledge of our business and strong understanding of our customers,” Mr Clarke said.
