QBE has appointed Jason Hammond as CEO for its Asian operations.

He will be based in Singapore and report to QBE International CEO Richard Pryce.

Mr Hammond will oversee China, Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. He was previously interim CEO for north Asia.

QBE says the appointment is part of a revamp aimed at creating a more aligned and customer-centric business.
