QBE expands energy account in Singapore
QBE has established an underwriting operation at the Lloyd’s market in Singapore, expanding the group’s presence in Asia.
The new operation will focus on energy business and related marine and liability risks, with London-based underwriter Jake Gibbs from QBE’s Marine and Energy division relocating to Singapore to develop the account.
Marine and Energy Syndicate 1036 MD Colin O’Farrell says the new marine and energy operation in Singapore will give local brokers access to underwriters who are authorised to make significant decisions.
QBE has been operating in Singapore since 1889.
