QBE bulks up management
QBE has bolstered its management ranks to promote growth in its corporate and third-party divisions.
Michael Scala has been promoted from GM Intermediary Distribution in Australia to GM Distribution Asia, based in Hong Kong.
His old position has been retitled GM Australian Intermediaries, and has been taken up by NSW/ACT Regional Manager Shaun Standfield.
Colin Fagan is the new EGM Intermediary Distribution and Tony MacRae is the new EGM Corporate Partners and Direct.
QBE Australia CEO Terry Ibbotson says the appointments, which came into force on Monday, “provide new alignment for senior executives” but for most people in day-to-day operations at QBE “there will be little effect”.
