QBE has announced Steve Ferguson will join its group board as an Independent Non-executive Director from November 1.  

Mr Ferguson has over 30 years of experience in financial services, primarily at consulting firm Ernst and Young, where he first began in 1989.  

Since leaving the firm in 2018, Mr Ferguson has held several non-executive director roles, including at Bank Australia, GenRe Australia and Parkinson’s Australia.   

QBE Group Chairman Mike Wilkins praised Mr Ferguson’s “strong focus on audit, risk and stakeholder collaboration”.
