QBE has promoted Jason Brown to Group Chief Risk Officer following his work as CRO for the Australian and New Zealand operations.

He takes over from George Thwaites, who is considering other roles in the group following a brief sabbatical.

“Jason has proven his value to QBE time and again in our Australian and New Zealand division and we are looking forward to him bringing his skills and expertise to a broader group role,” Group CEO John Neal said.

Mr Brown is a chartered accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in financial services. He joined QBE in 2002 and has previously worked for Ernst & Young in Sydney and London.
