Publishing company quits NIBA
Publishing and marketing company McMullan Conway today announced an “amicable separation” from the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) after an 11-year relationship.
The company owns insuranceNEWS.com.au, and also manages NIBA’s marketing and public relations work and developed Insurance & Risk Professional magazine for the association.
Publisher Terry McMullan says he and co-director Naomi Conway have decided they want to concentrate on developing insuranceNEWS.com.au and pursue other opportunities in the risk insurance sector.
“We now have around 12,000 subscribers and many more ‘casual’ visitors to the news site, and we do take our responsibility to our supporters very seriously,” he said.
“We worked hard to develop a world-class publication for NIBA, and we also developed effective marketing materials like the Needabroker website. Everything we were responsible for at NIBA is in great shape, and the association has been very understanding of our decision to move on.”
He says the company’s commitment to the industry and intermediaries in particular “hasn’t changed at all”.
The company will end its marketing and PR activities for NIBA at the end of this month, and the August/September issue of Insurance & Risk Professional will be the last to be produced for NIBA by McMullan Conway.
