PSC Insurance Group has acquired a majority stake in independent insurance brokerage Gordon Wilson & Associates “to expand the group’s national footprint”.

PSC CEO Gary Seymour says Gordon Wilson, which has offices in Brisbane and Townsville, will complement his group’s operation on the Gold Coast.

The move is not just about geography, but also “a very good fit of people”, he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“It will be business as usual for the team but a significant enhancement in resources and experience that is available to them.”

PSC is part of the Steadfast group, which will bring additional benefits to Gordon Wilson, according to Mr Seymour.

He says his group has been “aggressively expanding”, adding organisations that fit culturally. The approach has been “working well”.

Gordon Wilson MD Stewart Wilson will stay on as Managing Principal. The new trading name for the operation will be PSC Gordon Wilson.
