Melbourne-based broker PSC Horsell has added World Wide Sports Insurance (WWSI) to its stable, increasing its reach in the sports and leisure sector.

The deal, for an undisclosed amount, solidifies PSC Horsell’s place as one of Australia’s largest specialised sports intermediaries, with a combined network of some 1000 brokers.

Executive Chairman John Horsell says the group’s newly acquired sports and leisure unit will continue to be marketed under the WWSI banner.

“The unique nature of sports and leisure industries requires specialised niche capabilities from insurance providers, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to integrate two leading sports insurance businesses in WWSI and PSC Horsell,” Mr Horsell said.

PSC Horsell is part of the PSC Insurance Group, which is made up of four broking operations operating in major Australian centres.
