PSC Insurance Group announced today it will acquire the business assets of Ultimate Safety Solutions Australia (USSA), a Perth-based health, safety, environment and quality consultancy.

It is also taking a 75% stake in Eden Software, the owner of a computer program used by USSA clients to handle their management and compliance obligations.

The acquisition is considered “highly complementary” to PSC’s workers’ compensation business, the company says.

PSC will make a total upfront payment of $698,000 with $61,000 subject to a “rise and fall” based on the performance of the business in the 12 months prior to the second anniversary of the deal.

The new additions will be profit-making over the first 12 months, PSC says.
