Pop partners with US software provider
Pop Insurance and its subsidiary Fusion Specialty Insurance have launched a global partnership with US-based analytics and software provider Fractal Industries.
The tie-up paves the way for the Australian group to apply the US partner’s suite of technologies to its Fusion insurance products.
“Technology-enabled insurance is engrained in Fusion’s vision, culture and business model,” Pop and Fusion co-founder and executive partner Killian McDermott said.
“We are therefore excited to partner with Fractal, which will enable us to apply technology, data analytics and automated decision-making to enable Fusion’s mergers and acquisitions insurance product.”
Sydney-based Pop has grown rapidly since it was established last year by Mr McDermott and the former MD of Ironshore Australia David Rogers.
The business has a strategic partnership with Rakuten General Insurance to serve the Japanese mergers and acquisitions insurance market and last month entered an underwriting agency partnership with Zurich Australia. It also has a partnership with Allianz Australia.
