Perth-based broker Oracle Group has appointed Steve Campbell as MD, succeeding industry veteran Graeme Dorrell, who will continue to manage the nationwide authorised representative base.

Mr Campbell has 25 years’ broking experience and has served as a director for 21 years.

The group also announced the appointment of Brent Campbell, Steve’s son and a third-generation broker, to the newly created role of Deputy MD.

“Both Steve and Brent bring complementary depths of experience and knowledge to the existing team,” Operations Manager Marilyn Chamberlain said.

“The newly created role of Deputy MD will increase the span of our business development and service capabilities as [the group] prepares itself for its next stage of growth.”

Oracle Group, Centro Chamber and Gold Coast-based Agile Insurance Advice agreed a three-way merger in 2015 to create a national broking business. The group now has 28 authorised representatives, compared with five at the time of the merger.

“We’ve had substantial growth last year and we expect that to continue at the same pace,” Ms Chamberlain told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
