OAMPS still on the acquisition trail
OAMPS continues to extend its influence, with two more mergers over the past week.
WA broker Lindsay Martin has sold his transport insurance company, Lindsay Martin and Associates. It is the only insurance broker endorsed by the state branch of the Transport Workers Union. OAMPS Executive Chairman John Jones said the new acquisition will become the driving force behind OAMPS’ moves to expand the transport business stream for the company in WA.
In Victoria, Gardner Insurance & Finance Brokers – and three sons of the founder – have folded their company into OAMPS. Apart from working in retail, commercial and professional markets, the Victorian company has also distributed life and super products for more than 25 years. It also has a finance and home mortgage broking operation.
The company’s founder, Ross Gardner, moved to Queensland in 1993, and the Brisbane branch of the company will remain independent.
