OAMPS still on a brokerage buying spree

OAMPS has again expanded its presence in the insurance market, with new acquisitions in WA and NSW that are expected to generate about $5 million in premium revenue over the next year. The general insurance business of Kevin Savell in Perth and David Benn in Wagga Wagga are OAMPS’ latest acquisitions, making a total of 16 new acquisitions of insurance broking, underwriting and financial services portfolios so far this year.

Group Chairman John Jones described the situation as a “win-win” outcome for both the company and the two businesses. “Both of the new entrants into the group have reputations for exceptional personal integrity and great attention to client service,” he said.

CEO Tony Robinson said the additions “nicely mirror an important strategy of the group, which is the introduction of quality people and their clients through a very selective process that demands ongoing commitment by all parties.”
