OAMPS sticks to the acquisition trail
OAMPS Insurance Brokers has acquired Wideland Insurance Brokers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Agforce, based in the Queensland regional centre of Toowoomba.
The acquisition is the first by OAMPS since it was bought by Wesfarmers in November. CEO Peter Blackmore says the company is looking to make further acquisitions as part of a strategy to build its presence in specialist insurance broking markets and locations.
“Wideland will fill an important place in the OAMPS distribution network with its strong presence in Queensland,” he said.
Mr Blackmore says OAMPS “has been on the lookout for businesses that will add value to the group, and Wideland will”.
