OAMPS profit rises 17.1%

The second half of 2005 was profitable for diversified insurance group OAMPS, which finished the year with a net profit of $16.6 million, up 17.1% on the corresponding six months of 2004.

Group MD Tony Robinson is still on the acquisition trail, saying the company is confident there are significant opportunities available and discussions are in progress with several companies.

“We consolidated the acquisition program over the past 12 months to focus on building our capabilities both in terms of performance of existing activities and organic growth,” he said.

“Going forward we will continue to focus on building OAMPS’ capabilities with an emphasis on our people and our brand as we work to leverage our size and reputation.”
