OAMPS makes it 20 so far this year

OAMPS has acquired a Darwin brokerage after an absence of more than five years from the Northern Territory’s insurance industry. The general insurance broking division of All Financial Services (AFS) is the 20th company to join OAMPS’ ever-expanding list this financial year.

AFS will provide OAMPS with a further 2,000 clients and more than $5.7 million in annual general insurance premiums. It was founded in 1998 when two established insurance businesses operated by Andy Hills and John Barry amalgamated their operations.

OAMPS CEO Tony Robinson said the company has been looking at re-establishing its presence in Darwin as part of its strategy to be a “truly national” insurance broking company. “Acquiring the general insurance division of AFS has propelled us into a leading position in the Northern Territory market, where we believe there is still significant potential for expansion.”
