OAMPS is one of 10 brokers in a new Pan-Asian Alliance trying to create a network servicing larger clients with businesses throughout the region.

The alliance – formed by Hong Kong-based broker New World Insurance about three months ago – mainly deals with Asian-based conglomerates that want access to brokers in all the areas they operate in.

It includes brokers in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam. In total the brokers handle about $US1.1 billion ($1.5 billion) of business and have so far generated about 30 referrals between members.

The alliance is looking for members in Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and India.
