OAMPS buys into the UK market
OAMPS has finalised the acquisition of British brokers Peter Sellers, a move that is expected to bring around $980,000 into the company’s UK operations. The acquisition is expected to generate $5.4 million in broking commission, on an annual basis.
The Australian company’s UK MD David Barrett said the acquisition of Peter Sellers’ staff, business and client portfolio strengthens OAMPS presence in the UK general broking market. “It will allow us to have better relationships with UK insurers,” he said.
Mr Barrett also made it clear that this purchase does not change the main focus of the UK business, which remains focused on one of the company’s core activities – oil tanker and hazardous goods risks.
