National network OAMPS Insurance Brokers has continued its move into the bigger broking operations with the acquisition of the Darwin business of AIB Insurance Brokers, which making it the leading brokerage in the Northern Territory.

It’s the second large brokerage the network has acquired in as many weeks.

AIB will bring more than 2500 NT clients onto the OAMPS books and pump an extra $4.5 million in annual general insurance premium into the group. 

OAMPS Broking CEO Brian Austin says the group has been keen to build its presence in Darwin after re-establishing its presence in the NT last year.

“The addition to the branch of AIB’s portfolio of clients, together with new staff who are experienced in dealing with insurance issues unique to the NT, gives us the volume and leverage to achieve further growth and excellent bottom line results,” he said.
