NM Insurance has appointed Andrew McFetridge as executive director for New Zealand, tasked with growing the team and expanding distribution networks in marine and motorcycle insurance.

Mr McFetridge will continue as president of the New Zealand Underwriting Agencies Council, where he was a founding member four years ago.

“Andrew’s leadership will be pivotal in further enhancing our relationships with insurance brokers and expanding our distribution networks,” NM CEO Lyndon Turner said. “His appointment marks a significant milestone in our commitment to strengthening our presence in New Zealand.”

Mr McFetridge is a former Aon New Zealand branch manager and spent more than eight years at Rosser Underwriting, where he was MD and CEO, and more than seven at FMG Insurance.

He has also held positions at QBE, Ace Group, and in London as a Lloyd’s placing broker.
