Allianz has parted ways with its New Zealand CEO Eugene Elisara, confirming he has “ceased employment” with the insurer.

Perth-based Corporate Underwriting Manager Marc Guppy has been appointed interim CEO and will relocate to Auckland.

“Marc brings extensive experience across the industry, both at Allianz and beyond,” a spokesman said. “His career spans all aspects of insurance, from claims to underwriting, risk management to team leadership.”

Mr Elisara joined Allianz in 2014 from AIG New Zealand, where he was head of broker distribution and client management.
