Australia’s largest truck insurer, National Transport Insurance (NTI), is joining Sunrise Exchange, with its products available through the platform from January.

It’s a move which CEO Wayne Patterson says is “another step in providing faster, more efficient service to intermediaries”.

And Telstra eBusiness Services is equally pleased. “We are proud of our capability to tailor solutions for the insurance industry which allow specialist insurers like NTI to compete in the marketplace via Sunrise Exchange,” CEO David Brawn said.

The new product, NTI Express, will provide heavy motor vehicle insurance quotes for up to 10 vehicles via Sunrise Exchange, with plans to expand the product range to include public liability cover in the near future.

NTI is the first insurer to release an electronic product through Telstra eBusiness Services’ managed solution service. NTI’s product, which was previously manually referred will be hosted in Sunrise Exchange’s new managed service environment for the full policy life cycle.

NTI National Manager Broker Distribution Bryce Hatton said intermediaries want an electronic heavy motor product that is easy to use. “The product needed to provide the guaranteed service response and timeframes that are available through Sunrise Exchange.”

Delegates at the National Insurance Brokers Association Convention in Perth next month will be offered a sneak preview of NTI Express with demonstrations running daily at the Sunrise Exchange stand.
