National Transport Insurance (NTI) has been unanimously accepted as an associate member by the council of the Australian Trucking Association (ATA), which represents 50,000 businesses and 200,000 people in the industry.

This allows NTI to participate in the development of internal committees such as the Industry Technical Council, and the ATA General Council.

NTI, a foundation sponsor for 30 years, supports the association’s National Trucking Industry Awards.

The ATA is planning the launch of a redesigned safety truck later this year in a campaign using state-of-the-art technology to educate young drivers and vulnerable road users about how they can share the road safely with trucks, Chairman Geoff Crouch says.
