Byron Bay-based Eagle Insurance Brokers and Kempsey counterpart Australian Insurance Services have announced a merger that will create a significant player in the north of NSW.

The new entity will carry the Eagle Insurance Brokers name and a combined premium book of $14 million spread across 4000 clients.

Under the terms of the merger, which came into operation on July 1, Australian Insurance Services will retain its name until the businesses are fully integrated.
