NRMA Insurance will outsource services at two offices on the NSW south coast and close four other agencies in the area.

The company’s Wollongong and Shellharbour offices will move to an agency model, where an agent has a commercial relationship with NRMA Insurance to provide its products.

The Helensburgh, Thirroul, Berry and Sanctuary Point agencies will close in the middle of next year.

A spokesman confirmed the outsourcing will affect 21 people, including full-time and part-time employees.

“We are working with all of them to explore opportunities across our remaining locations and the wider network,” she told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“There is also a strong possibility the new owner will want to employ the people who currently work there, and we will facilitate an introduction as soon as practical.”
