QBE has moved Colin Fagen to the new position of Group COO under its revised management structure.

Mr Fagen was previously group chief strategy officer, but responsibility for strategy now returns to Group CEO John Neal and the group executive.

Mike Emmett, currently Group Executive Officer, Operations, will leave the company.

Mr Neal paid tribute to Mr Emmett’s contribution over five years.

“After joining as CIO for Australian and New Zealand operations and Asia-Pacific operations, Mike successfully led our global transformation program, including establishment of our group shared services centre and the achievement of synergies in IT infrastructure and procurement.

“We thank him for his leadership… and wish him every success in the future.”
