Ace Insurance has appointed Jon Downes as its new General Counsel for Australia and New Zealand. He replaces Ashley Mullins, who will now be based in Ace’s New York office as Global Compliance Officer.

Mr Downes has 18 years’ legal and 10 years’ insurance industry experience. He was formerly employed by FAF International – the international services division of the First American Financial Corporation.
