Blue Zebra has recruited a new head of cyber after Richard Smith moved to Rhodian’s Sync Underwriting.

The underwriting agency says Aaron Langmaid joins as it enters a “phase of dedicated growth and product and portfolio alignment within the SME space”.

Mr Langmaid was previously with IAG-backed cyber insurer Cylo as market development head for Australia and New Zealand.

Before that he worked in IAG’s cyber product management team, where he was involved in the creation of Cylo, which launched last May.

Mr Langmaid wrote on LinkedIn that he is “looking forward to embracing the challenge in a swiftly evolving space and [to] start driving-long term, sustainable growth across the portfolio”.
